Welcome to the Twaiv-App Product Management Project!
In this hands-on project, you will take on the role of a Product Manager tasked with conceptualizing and integrating new features into LaufApp, Twaiv’s innovative fitness and friendship app.
In order to answer the key business questions, you will follow the steps of the Product Manager process:
- Product Development.
- Product Requirement Document (PRD).
As a Product Manager at Twaiv, your challenge is to strategically think through the shift of core functionality from Twaiv’s LaufApp towards TRAIT, an app to have people socially connected and mutually support each others fitness journey. Historically, LaufApp tried to bring healthier habits and a more active lifestyle to fitness-seekers by providing proper training advice and on-demand coaching through an AI chat bot. However, recent findings from a validated pilot study have prompted a shift in focus. Twaiv discovered that individuals lacking running habits weren’t responding to the coaching offer through the technical instance but reacted with a threefold increase in commitment and app advocacy when engaging in social support groups, formed through the app.
Now, the challenge extends beyond efficiency improvements for seasoned runners. Twaiv aims to re-launch into TRAIT, a new app tailored for a broader audience, emphasizing social support and motivation to cultivate healthy habits. Your task involves outlining a comprehensive plan, considering the impact on social aspects, fitness features, and finding the delicate balance required to successfully transition from a niche-focused app to a mass-market, socially-driven platform.
